About PuntersEdge

An Australian-first odds API, built and run in Australia.

Why PuntersEdge exists

Global odds APIs treat Australian bookmakers and Australian racing as an afterthought — partial book coverage, no next-to-go racing, and market names that don't match what local punters actually see.

PuntersEdge is the feed we wanted and couldn't buy: one REST/JSON endpoint returning live prices from 14 Australian bookmakers across horse, greyhound and harness racing, plus the major sports.

You shouldn't have to take that on faith. The demo endpoints need no key and no card, so you can verify the coverage before you sign up for anything.

What PuntersEdge is

A developer data product: raw Australian odds, delivered as predictable JSON. Racing is the flagship rather than an add-on — a dedicated next-to-go endpoint spans all three codes. Measured over the trailing 30 days to 2026-09-07, /v1/arb/racing is 54.0% of all billed calls and 64.3% of all credits spent.

What you get

  • Racing — 14 Australian bookmakers across horse, greyhound and harness
  • Sports — 6 Australian bookmakers across 20 queryable sport keys — the coverage map names every one with the books quoting it
  • A per-market quality object — score, status and age in seconds — so you can tell a stale price from a fresh one
  • Best-odds endpoints built on the same feed
  • Public uptime and connector health, readable from the API itself

The honest limits

  • Coverage is Australian. Need US sportsbooks or broad global leagues? A global provider is the better fit.
  • Sports depth is 6 bookmakers in total, and fewer per individual sport. Measured 2026-09-07 over the trailing 7 days, NBA, NRL, AFL, College Football, Super League, NRLW and EPL carry more than one customer-served bookmaker on the majority of fixtures; on NFL, Tennis ATP, Tennis WTA, WNBA, MLB, AFLW, Soccer (Other Competitions), Basketball (Other Competitions), NHL, MMA/UFC, Cricket (Other Competitions), Rugby Union and Test Cricket you are usually looking at a single price. The rule is one line — a sport is multi_book when at least 50% of its quoted fixtures in the window carried two or more customer-served bookmakers, single_book when it is below that, seasonal when no served book quoted any fixture, and not_queryable when the API 404s the key — so a sport is in exactly one of those lists. A-League (1 books, 10 fixtures) is ingested and quoted by a served bookmaker but is not reachable: the API 404s the key. It is measured here and excluded from the coverage table rather than counted as coverage. That is the genuine weak spot; racing is where the depth is.
  • This is raw odds data, not a finished betting product. No bet placement, no account integration.
  • Not official league data. For rights-cleared enterprise feeds, an enterprise provider is the right call.
  • Raw redistribution of the data needs written permission. Building applications, analytics, dashboards and internal workflows on it does not.
