1. About us and what we operate
PuntersEdge ("we", "us", "our") operates puntersedge.online and api.puntersedge.online. ABN: 32 571 495 604. We provide two services:
- PuntersEdge API — a developer-facing data service providing Australian bookmaker odds for racing and sports, historical prices, results and related data over a REST/JSON API. This is our primary product.
- PuntersEdge Members — a separate sports-analysis membership delivered through the website and Telegram.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information we collect — API customers
- Email address — collected at signup and verified by email before a key is activated; used to deliver your API key and service notices.
- API keys — stored as a cryptographic hash. We cannot read your key back after issue; a lost key is reissued, not recovered.
- Plan and credit data — your plan, monthly credit usage and reset dates, kept to meter the service and show you your own usage.
- Request records — per-request metadata (endpoint called, timestamp, response status) used for metering, support, abuse prevention and service statistics.
- IP addresses — the IP used at signup and the most recent IP seen on your key, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Web server access logs (including IPs) are retained for a short operational window.
- Signup attribution — how you found us (referrer, campaign tags, landing page), used in aggregate to understand what is worth building.
3. Information we collect — Members
- Account details — email address and a hashed password for website login. We never store plaintext passwords.
- Telegram ID and username — if you connect Telegram to receive member content.
- Subscription state — your membership status and history.
4. Billing (both services)
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our systems. We retain your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, and billing status so we can provision what you have paid for and handle billing issues.
5. How we use information
- To provide, meter and secure the API and Members services
- To deliver keys, receipts, verification emails and service notices (sent from our Google Workspace email)
- To manage subscriptions and payments
- To prevent abuse (rate limiting, duplicate-signup and disposable-email checks)
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the product
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties for their marketing.
6. Third-party services
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Google — Google Analytics on the website, Google Workspace for our outbound email, Google Fonts (policies.google.com/privacy)
- Telegram — member content delivery, if you use it (telegram.org/privacy)
- DigitalOcean — cloud hosting; our infrastructure is located in Australia (Sydney)
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). API keys and passwords are stored hashed. Access to production systems is restricted, and we keep regular backups. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps consistent with the APPs to protect the information we hold.
8. Retention
- Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, accounting and dispute purposes.
- API request records are kept for metering, support and abuse-prevention history.
- Web server access logs are retained for a short operational window and then rotate away.
You may request deletion at any time (section 9); we will delete what we are not legally required to keep.
9. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of non-essential communications

10. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, a first-party attribution cookie that remembers how you arrived, and Google Analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser; login and some features depend on them.
11. Responsible gambling
